Water your faith

Our faith is like a plant, we must constantly water it to continue to grow. I would offer a challenge, to find one way to water your faith this week and make a plan to achieve that thing, and then get to work. I promise if you do this, you will have even greater happiness and strength to endure the trials or struggles you may be going through.

Happiness is found in your heart

Happiness is the ultimate pursuit of all people. Let us remember that it is found in our heart not our circumstances. Happiness is also a decision, let us decide today to be happy and bring that happiness into our circumstances.

Faith is seeing beyond

The other day I watched “The Giver” and really liked it. This is a quote from the movie that I thought was really good. Faith is truly seeing beyond. It is interesting because we usually have to take a step into the dark before the light of our path is seen, and that is where faith comes in. With faith we see beyond the darkness and see and know that the light is there and waiting for us to come unto it.

Do not stop

I tell my clients all the time, that forward movement, even if small baby steps, is more important than an occasional regular step here and there. Let's all keep moving and never stop!!

Decide that you want it

It all comes down to mindset and attitude. Decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it. Now, go after whatever it is that you want.

Believe in Prayer

It is one thing to have faith that prayer can work for others, but it is another to believe that prayer can work for you. Let me just share a quick story with you.

Many years ago, we were camping with the family. We were playing in the creek, that was way higher and dirtier than normal because of the recent rain. I wanted to head back to the car for something and so, I yelled at my wife to throw the keys across the creek to me. It was very clear except for a few tree branches pretty high up and so I thought it was very easy for her to toss them over to me. But, sure enough she threw the keys high in the air and it caught on one of the tree branches and dropped smack in the middle of the creek. I quickly ran to where I saw the keys enter the water and felt everywhere. Sadly, the keys were nowhere to be found. We gathered together and said a prayer and continued our search to no avail. The thought came to me, you need to be sincere and pray with real intent. I began to offer up a much different prayer that I had said earlier, really putting forth significant amount of faith in our Father in heaven to guide us to the keys. After the prayer, I went back in the water and put my hand down, and the first thing I touched was the keys. I found the keys in the exact same spot that I had searched dozens of times already. The difference was the power of prayer and having faith and believing that the Lord could perform this miracle for us.

Join with me in having greater faith, but also having perfect belief that the Lord will answer our prayers. It may not always be in accordance to our will but rest assured it will be in accordance to His will and be the best thing for us looking through the lens of eternity.

Discipline is the bridge

There is no substitute for discipline and hard work. Our goals do not get achieved on their own. Let us be more disciplined and bridge that gap between our goals and their accomplishment.

We must do

I really like this quote. It’s a great reminder that we need to take action and apply the knowledge we have gained to create the result we desire to have.

Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do. Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

Our Response is What Matters

We can only control what we can control. Let us control how we react, and react with joy and confidence.
