There is a small book called, "That Something" which contains a powerful story of rags to riches, and the power behind this change. It is a very short read and well worth it, see below link. But ultimately, it is a story of mindset. We all get to choose our own path, which can be a path of being acted upon or a path of action. To be acted upon, means that we are a byproduct of our circumstances, and we lack the ability to change or influence the direction of our path, it is just what it is. The path of action, means that our circumstances are a byproduct of our mindset and actions, and we control the direction at all times.
The reality is that there is actually only one path and that is the path of action, but we determine the direction of the path, up or down based on our actions or lack thereof. So, people create their own path down due to their inactivity and negativity or their action and positivity.
We need to always have the mindset of "I believe" and "I will." As we do this consistently we will start to see our circumstances starting to bend and be shaped by our new mindset.
